Establishment of Invest Japan Office

The report of the Japan Investment Council Expert Committee, endorsed by the Japan Investment Council on March 27, 2003, noted  “Translate various types of information on investment procedures…into English, and establish a single contact point in JETRO for access to such information. In addition, each ministry or institution related to investment set up a single contact point, which can indicate the division which is in charge of a particular procedure….”, and Prime Minister Koizumi directed the improvement of administrative procedures.
Thus, each ministry concerned established an office of Invest Japan for FDI which  started  business on May 27, 2003.
Invest Japan logo on the top of this paper is an official symbol for Invest Japan.  The letter is black in the colors assorts with the pink cherry blossoms and the red circle which represents the rising sun. The rising sun is derived from the national flag of Japan.
